What it is
A wet room is a fully waterproofed bathroom where the shower is part of the floor. No curb, no glass enclosure required. Perfect for wheelchair access.

When you need it
When you need true wheelchair or walker access into the shower, when a curb is no longer safe, or when you want a modern open-concept bathroom with no glass box and no threshold.
What's required
A floor that can be sloped to drain (sometimes the subfloor needs to be reframed), full waterproofing of floor and walls, a linear or center drain tied to existing plumbing, complete demolition of the existing bathroom floor, and a 50% deposit.
